Hi I have and old farm house and I am extending the house into an agricultural part of the building.

I am in the process of digging out the old floor to make way for a new concrete slab

My question is how deep do I have to go down below the finished level and how thick should each layer be?
The room is 4.75m x 5.05m
I want to put in under floor heating (pipe water) if this makes a difference

I am planning to start with some type 1, sharp sand, damp proof membrane, concrete with some sort of steel reinforcing, insulation, under floor heating and then the screed I think this is right but I am an electrician so if it this is wrong could you let me no.
.

Thanks Danny
