I'm about to tile my bathroom floor with 33.3cm square ceramic tiles. Simple question - what spacing (i.e width of grout line) will look best in my (very) small bathroom? I've got 7mm spacers but I have a feeling these will be too large?

Any suggestions on what the "standard" is?

If you use the 7mm spacers then make sure you use wide joint grout to prevent it shrinking and cracking. 4mm would be a better gap but it depends on the look of the tiles, if they have an irregular surface like natural slate then it is better to increase the gap to 10-12mm.

With a small area to cover I found it looked better with no grout space at all!
Looks lovely to me but personal choice prevails :D

No no. You need grout - tiles expand!

Consider a dark/coloured grout if you like the look better.

What an interesting debate!

I went for 4mm gaps and light grey grout. Looks lovely if I do say so myself!
