I have recently sanded down some floorboards in our house that were in fantastic condition, and would like to replicate the look in the rest of the house downstairs. The problem is the rest of the house is an extension with concrete floors! Is it at all possible to buy reclaimed floorboards and lay these on top of the concrete floor somehow?

Yes, if you first install DPM + sound-insulation. You can install the boards floating.
Pine boards, I guess? Will damage (dents, scratch etc) easier than hardwood (Oak etc)
