Flooring options on floating floor

The downstairs of our house has 18mm tongue and groove chipboard floating floor over 25mm polystyrene. We are looking at laying new flooring for hallway thru into kitchen and were considering lvt or a laminate type floor but really not sure if this is suitable as the under floor isn't fixed. We have ruled out tiling as I felt the grout wouldn't hold with the 'bounce' of the original floor.
Anyone have a similar set up or experience of one that could advise ta

I’ve done a few of these sub floors with 9mm ply and LVT and been ok. But if worried about movement go for laminate.
