Flow Temp Rising Too Quickly - Fix?

Yes, it is on the return pipe and pointing down.

If your boiler is above it, it should be pointing up!
It should be pointing towards the boiler.

EDIT: forget that, checked photo again and looks like boiler it to the right of it and pipes come down from above, so looks good from what I can see on the images.

That's to indicate correct and incorrect closure of the lid.
Have you just tightened it because your latest photos look like its in 2 different positions?
No, not changed it. Just photo angles. Could this thing be full of crap and need emptying?

OK, Have you cleaned it recently?, if so, as suggested set the pump to its highest setting and the flowtemp to 70C and try it.

Interesting. With CH running it has stopped at 53C for a prolonged period now. As it is set to do. I wonder if it was the air trapped in that filter? I ran the air purge after bleeding it and heared a ping in one of the rads as it kicked air out.

Looks like problem might be solved!

Shall I leave air purge mode on AUTO? Or just have it OFF?

Also, do you know how I clear the D4 error messages? Holding reset doesn't do it when I'm in the relevant part of the system.

Oh hang on... it's just gone up to 54C. It stayed on 53 for a while though. Will try pump head on 4 and increase flow temperature. Is this supposed to help move air out? I then go back to lower pump setting and temp?
