Not sure if right area to be asking this (if not, where?)... I need to get 2 flu's lined with the stainless liner - one's a solid fuel open fire, one's a gas fire. Do I need the 150mm dia 1m sections (9m & 12m) or is the flexible type the best?

You must fit the correct type & size of flue liner; gas & oil can use single skin but solid fuel must be double skinned. For your safety, they must be correctly installed & installing a flue liner & stove is notifyable building work unless you use a registered installer. You will need a certificate of compliance from either a registered installer or from your Local Authority Building Control office.
