Foam washer or plumbers putty?

Mait is a long proven medium to seal stuff up but I avoid it specifically for the next person coming along. It's really is icky icky goo and once it's on stuff is a nightmare to clean off. Lots of other 'cleaner' solutions these days for me.

Absolutely M8 - Apols if you thought I was poo poo'ing your suggestion, I wasn't saying that it shouldn't be used. I just find it sticky, nasty stuff and find it a mare when coming across it, I just prefer using other stuff.

I do agree that too much silicone can be a mare too though.
