I have a Vokera Excell 80SP, and it has started making a foghorn like sound. The sound usually starts if you use the hot water (after a little delay), but sometimes it just starts on it's own. It sometimes stops if you leave it long enough (>5mins) but sometimes doesn't. If you use the hot water again that usually stops it, or if you turn it off at the mains and turn it straight back on that stops it as well.
It has been happening for a while (3 months) but has got much more regular recently.
I read in another thread that it might be due to the fact that the diverter arm is not returning properly. I'll test this when I get home, but does that sound sensible? If it is the problem then how do I go about fixing it? A squirt of WD-40 on the arm?
