yes pretty much as expected, good that you had insurance and got it sorted properly
Hi Ian - thanks - the green stuff in the picture on the HX is that copper oxide ? I note that their is no longer a hissing / whistling sound when the boiler is running - would that have been the boiler kettling with the old HX ?

yes probably was kettling as would have been pretty crudded up with the constant re-pressurising

yes been leaking for a long time , the new insulation panels should stop it, it does become a problem if the metal housing gets so bad that it corrodes through
