Depends how it's heated

Like other heating systems, the hot water within the Megaflo can be produced by immersion units (so heated with electricity), boilers or even solar thermal. If you buy a twin-coil unit, you can feed the tank with two sources of hot water: a boiler plus solar thermal, for example.

It's not a storage heater; it replaces a gravity fed hot water tank.

Things have changed, there's now a minimum E required to rent a property, moving up to a D in 2035. You can't legally rent an F.

It's a rental. If I had panels on the roof it would likely be photovoltaics and not solar, although with the feed in tariff understandably being reined back again it's not worth the investment.
