Ford Fiesta 2015 Faulty fuel gauge

Hi, I have just put fuel in my car and just driven approx 30 miles.
The fuel gauge and the mileage is still the same as when I left the fuel station.
Can anyone help.

Just give it a wee while to see if the float in the tank shakes itself free.....it sounds like it could be stuck down. This is fairly common if the tank was very low before filling.

You’re not going to see much of a change on the fuel gauge by driving just 30 miles.

I think he might mean the car’s range, once filled up?

When I fill up our Golf, it always says 600 miles plus fuel range. If I drive steady, it can sometimes go up 20 miles or more before going down. Best range I’ve ever had in a full tank shown was 661 miles but Mrs Mottie had been driving it like a nun before I filled it.
