hey
im totally stuck on this my fiesta 1998 diesel always makes noises but its now squeaking very loudly when it rains or is damp ive recently changed the alternator and checked my belts its not them. it seems to ease when i put my cluch down!!
please can any one help???

Are you absolutely SURE it's not the fan belt? When you press the clutch in you lower the revs and hence the tension on the belt.

i took the belt out an checked no wear on it looked new. it only does it when its damp weather.

fan belt slipping due to wet weater

its either wrong belt or not tight enough , but dont overtighten ............................. its just slack a wee bit
