Ford Focus bonnet lock problems

I have a 2009 Focus CC3. The issue I have is that I've a dashboard warning telling me that the bonnet is open only it isn't. I have a new catch ready to fit and I only want to know if it's as easy to change as first appears ie remove the 2 bolts, disconnect the electrical plug and swop for the new item. Comments would be most appreciated.

It shouldn't be much of a problem, but I tend to mark the position of the old one with either a pencil or some masking tape....it makes reassembly that bit easier.
I've no idea if the new catch will solve your problem though, but it does sound likely.

I haven't managed to get the plug off yet but I believe it's the switch that's clapped out so I'm hoping fitting a complete catch will sort it.
