Ford Focus Side Lights

In cold weather the side lights and dashboard lights take an age to come on. Anyone know what the problem could be whether it is the switch or the fuse box?

Hazarding a total guess at this - I would expect (maybe) that the tumblers in the switch are a little reluctant to move in cold weather....possibly due to the grease in there solidifying. Nonsense, huh?
