Hi

One of the two interior boot lights in my focus is not working. When I swap out the not working light until (i.e the light housing unit and bulb) and switch it for the working one, it doesn't work.

So it seems the unit isn't getting power. Does anyone know if this could be a fuse issue (seems unlikely as the other unit IS working) or an elecrical short??

Thanks in advance for any help.

I would imagine the boot lamps are wired in parallel, so you need to find out if 12v is arriving at the faulty lamp unit. If it is, there's a chance that the faulty lamp unit has a faulty earth connection.
If not, you'll need to trace the wiring back from the faulty lamp to the good one.
I wouldn't suspect a fuse fault or short circuit.....if there was a short the fuse would have blown.
John :)
