Ford Ka 1999 Endura-E....where is the coolant temp sensor??

Please help. Daughters car needs (I think) a new temp coolant sensor. I'm trying to locate it on the car but can't find it. Haynes manual says under the right hand side of the inlet manifold but I can't see it. Anyone clever enough to know??

Have you looked under the thermostat housing (near timing end, above pump). Is this for engine or gauge?

Ha ha! Apparently right hand side is when viewed from in the car not leaning over the bonnet. Job jobbed and running fine.
