i just had my car mot and service done less than 24 hours later the engine warning light came on due to the ht leads can they fail in that short space of time from being checked?

i doubt ht leads would have been checked, could have been damaged during the service if spark plugs were changed
have you spoke to the whoever serviced your car?

i spoke to the garage and they told me that they were checked and were fine, just wanted to know how they could fail in such a short space of time.

if they have failed, then its cos they have been disturbed

leads have been cored with graphited cord for years now......that`s why they can fail when disturbed ......if they are original then they have lasted for however long the car has been used /miles covered PS they used to be copper wire cored
