How effective is this stuff at cleaning an EGR valve and throttle body?

Probably not very, carbon+oil deposits in the EGR & intake mainfold are difficult to shift with good degreaser and a scraper!!

and even if it does shift it where do you think it's going?

looks like i'm cleaning it by hand then
