Fortic cylinder replacement - reputable brand?

A relation has one and says it "only" requires remaking the air bubble every 18 months or more but he does a full cylinder drain down and arranges it when the HW has been used up, I've read of some who do it similar to the Megaflo just using that procedure where the level is only drained by ~ 25% or so, to the level of the T&PRV and the bubble still apparently lasts 9 months or more.
Very good especially the Super S that has all the connections on the top.
Perfect for pdhw installations
Just adding to this thread again.
I think I am moving forward with replacing the fortic with a unvented cylinder and separate expansion.
This installer was recommended to me and i had a chance to snap their work.
Work looks solid enough?
My only note is that they used press fit copper fittings. Thoughts on this?
Centre cylinder is Wolsley own brand as far as I can see, but I assume, as per above, tanks are much of a muchness, unless fitting locations are important.
My cylinder would be going into airing cupboard (replacing a tall fortic cylinder) in a 3rd floor flat (3 floor flat complex).

Fair point. I'm still a bit dubious of this lead-free end feed malarky myself.
Nothing wrong with press fit, I've been using it successfully for over a decade now. It's pretty much standard practise in commercial and industrial environments too. Was in Birmingham Airport last weekend and the renovations there are all being done in press
