I just tried to post a question at the forum information page as it says:
"This is where you can ask your questions regarding the site, forum, etc"
It seems I am not allowed to ask my question there so I will try it here. On the appliances page we often get questions from Americans, despite the sticky post advising them that their appliances will be different to UK ones and we may not be able to help. I now notice that the site displays an advert for an American firm called M-Boss, with a price quoted in dollars. It is hardly surprizing therefore that so many US surfers assume they have found an American site. I dare say plenty of UK surfers will also see this ad. and assume they are at an American site.
Is this advert aimed at UK or US users of the site?

Hi Fido,

The advert your referring to originates from Google Ads, they show what adverts they think are suitable for the visitor, so sometimes American ads get shown. This could be down to Google thinking your American or the advertiser (M-Boss in this case) failing to specify a limitation on what countries should see their ad.
