I have just started drawing plans for my new extension but have come across a problem with the sewage pipe.

The sewage pipe runs along the line of part of the proposed extension which is just inside the boundary. The pipe is approximately 1m below ground level.

Can the sewage pipe run through part of the length of the foundation or moved so it runs under the extension?

Any help will be very much appreciated!

a sewer pipe can not run along a footing if its not a main you can divert it your self if its only a pick up for your house & is in 110 plastic this is straight forward but will have to be checked by building control. hope this helps

building control don't mind pipes passing through a trench at 90 deg, you simply wrap them in compressible material such as fibreglass insulation.
running along the trench is a different matter. you may need to re direct the pipe work if you can.
all trenches, in close proximity to the pipes, have to be below the invert of the drain. this is so that the settlement push doesn't affect the drains.
