Hi I am trying to build a single storey extension in place of a conservatory. My builder says that a test hole should be dug to allow building control to inspect to see if the existing conservatory foundations will be sufficient for the extension. I have dug down around two metres which has uncovered what appears to be at least a 1 metre of foundation. Can anyone have a look at the photo and see if they think this is okay or at least if building control can now be called out to inspect.
