Funny that. When you type in suggestions that are pro-fracking you get positive results favouring fracking and when you type in suggestions against fracking you get anti-fracking videos etc. WOW!

It really is a funny world depending on how you wish to approach it, isn't it Gasbag. Do you think it is poor education that leads people to be so biased and bereft of any impartiality? Can people be that stupid?

Those were not water from water supply company mains but water taken from private wells and bore holes in areas where there is natural methane in the soil / rocks around the well / bore hole. It is almost a private fracking project, the well or bore hole have fracked the ground. Surprised they had not capped the well and drawn of the methane for heating purposes
The chance of methane gas getting into a mains water supply pipe through a hole in the pipe or a leaky joint is zero. The water pressure would push water put, not suck gas in !!!

Why did New York (and other places) ban fracking then?
Because they felt it would have an adverse effect on the environment, which may be true. And private water supplies from wells or bore holes may be affected. But methane in water has been a "feature" of some private water supplies long before man started fracking. Nature "fracks" her own rocks, earthquakes being extremely violent fracking
