Freezing kit mdpe pipe

Can you use an electrical freezing kit on mdpe pipe? I know a squeeze off it is an option. Strangely I have a electrial freezer but not a squeeze off kit
 
I would have thought so, as I’m sure I’ve used the Arctic Hayes freeze kit on plastic before.
 
You can use a freezer on plastic pipe. Worth putting some extra clamping on (e.g. plastic cable ties) as the plastic can compress more than copper, allowing the clamps to slip off before freezing.
