Believe that because these checks are happening "outside" of the UK then the UK will have to abide by all and any new rules imposed, the UK cannot dictate the protocols imposed outside the borders of the UK.

A definite loss of control, like it or not especially with the headlong dash to a no deal, even with a deal the UK will have to go through hoops backwards to conform to the new rules imposed by others.

Yup,

Leaver voted for 'take back control'....

What they will get is lose control.

LOL, I've not met a brexer who thought we could control overseas customs. Are these fictional brexers you mention something you've read about in the daily mail?

How are overseas customs a problem for (only EU) countries presently? How do you see them in the event of a no-deal?

Take back control, lol.

As Customs, exists all over the world doesn't it? I'm not aware of worldwide problems because of customs, are you? perhaps you could point them out to us.

What, you have never heard of the customs union? Perhaps you need to swat up on our seamless arrangement with the EU. It allows the free movement of goods between EU members. It is a fantastic arrangement lauded the world over and is testament to the biggest trading bloc on the planet. Millions of tonnes of goods are moved quickly as a result. Business and manufacture rely upon that swift supply and a bustling proliferation of trade has been built around it.

We were the fifth largest economy in the world, built on trade, before we joined the eu. Are you seriously suggesting that because we're (possibly) no longer part of a customs union, trade will cease and the economy will collapse?

No? Where did you hallucinate that?

Are you seriously suggesting that should we leave the EU without a deal, the supply chain will carry on as before?

Are you seriously suggesting that the UK is not stockpiling?

Are you seriously suggesting that businesses that rely on European imports have nothing to fear in the event of a no deal?

Are you seriously suggesting that the UK hasn't evolved over the last four decades with other European nations and the benefits that the customs union has brought with it?

Ive posted about it often enough on here.
It is obvious.

The UK does £280b of trade with the EU.
It is all frictionless.
No border checks
No rules of origin checks
No phytosanitary controls
No tariffs
Regulations aligned across 27 countries
Reachable by train in 30mins

UK companies have built their business, their cost structure on this basis.
You take that away, costs will rise, delays will increase.

Yes but 50 years ago we were building one Moggy Minor a month and was the biggest thing on the planet. Stick that in yer pipe.

He did though
No he didn't.

Nor did the coward filly look at these...

You cant undo 40 years of integration without substantial damage.

And if the UK leaves it will lose all its 759 trade agreements covering thousands and thousands of products.
I believe the WTO tariff list covers 19,000items.

The UK cant stop trading while it builds new trade deals, which take years.

Under a no deal, the UK loses a huge amount of negotiating power, so the deals it gets will be worse.
