frewview box probs

just got bush dfta16 freeview digi box, I cant get any channels have very good reception here, already had digi box worked no probs, any ideas what the problem might be with this box

does the aerial still work if connected directly to the telly ??
have you accidentally disconnected anything
do you get the tuning menu on screen

aerial works fine in television, menu screen shows on screen when freeview box is connected, just wont pick up any stations, previous freeview box worked fine, i think its just this bloody box. checked online forum abt this box , one said you need very strong signal which i thought i had, bought on ebay with tv and dvd player for £10 only wanted the freeview box, and doesent work, tv and dvd player work fine so hey

freeview coverage checker, says its crystal palace, i thought i was reigate to be honest, but there you go. you had any reception problems yesterday
