Hi everyone, this week our front door has started to play up. I thought it was the lock barrel but that locks and unlocks fine. But the brass slanted pin in the middle doesn’t seem to be pulling back all the way inside the door when you move the handle. So that it jams closed or bounces against the frame if you try to close it when it’s open.
I know warm weather may have not helped but what can I do to resolve?
Many thanks.

have you tried tightening the two screws in the actual latch? sometimes they start to come loose. If they are tight then its the springs in side the Multipoint lock ' gearbox' losing their springiness. a new gearbox will sort that out. Should be readily available on the internet BUT if you are not confident then get a Double glazing Repair person in... they will know exactly how to measure and replace that one... it should be quite straight forward as its an ERA lock
