Front door with strange corners

I'm thinking of viewing this property to rent:

What do you guys make of the odd-looking triangular shapes in each corner?

What is that cable behind the hobs ? Could easily be damaged by heat from the hobs.

Over flow on the toilet cistern is not fitted very well.

Have a really good look around before you commit to it.

Looks like it's been done up to rent - so go for it ! Agree with Bernard on the cable - also see the Landlords Gas certificate . Good value up there - You'd pay that for a bedsit in Eastbourne

The welds have probably cracked and the 4 sides are being held together with those plates, from expireience it would appear the door has been put in at some point by either a burglar or the police, new door required

Bernard, it's powering the hob ignition. It's a gas oven. I'd enclose a better pic but don't know how to!
