Just getting some estimates for some new windows and doors. The most attractive estimate so far has come in and includes windows and doors incorporating Fuhr locking systems. Does anyone have any opinion on these?

Yes its one of the better known mechanisms but to be fair most are much of a muchness, its how many points it locks on and in what way!
Doors, generally should have at least 2 hooks, 4 would be better though, should have at least 2 roller cams/mushrooms and top and bottom shootbolts, i didn't include the middle latch and deadbolt as all mechs have them.
Windows, all depends on the length or height of the opener, this governs how many roller cams or mushrooms you have, obviously the more the merrier, shootbolts at each end are a must also

Should also be asking what cylinders are going to be used in the door mechs. Look for 6 pins minimum with anti-snap measures.
You could always buy a nice wooden door and paint it white to match your windows - much more secure
