Fujifilm Cameras

ok, as far as hand holding and depends how series you want to get , I use a tripod for landscapes , setup the and compose the shot , then maybe wait for the right light / sunlight etc - used with remote control
group shots of family etc, can put on timer and get into shot
Night shots to get light streams , etc
Waiting for that bird to move on a branch - or even come to a branch - or waiting for any other animals

but its not a priority by any means - just i prefer to use one
OK I get that. So what camera should I looking at as a beginer that will grow with me without having to sell it on when I grow out. of it. I wanted to avoid all of that and just get the camera as a keeper and maybe just add lenses

and maybe just add lenses
But you said earlier - you DID NOT want the gear and have to carry around, so thats the issue

remember dont buy online try them out

A lot of camera mentioned are all keepers really , except the fixed lens cameras

OM-1 , OM-3 , 5D

some of the bridge cameras

BUT as you said, loads of people her , me included, I got fed up with carry stuff around , and to that end in previous posts i made some alternative suggestions

YOU have to decide - do you want to carry lenses around ??? maybe 3 or 4 - couple of zooms, prime lens, macro lens

If 100% no you dp not want to ever carry kit around , then forget bodies with interchangeable lenses

even micro four thirds?

even micro four thirds?
thats just the sensor size and so the lens focal length quoted need to be doubled for the 35mm equivalent - 2x crop factor

just as guide
landscape 24/28mm
street photography 50/100mm maybe
portrait - 80-135mm (135 was considered the lens , i had one) BUT as i say 50mm was the standard on loads of camera in the pasr
wildlife / action sports = >200mm - probably a 300mm

Photography TypeRecommended 35 mm Equivalent
Landscape16–35 mm (ultra-wide to wide)
Wildlife300–800 mm (telephoto)
Sports / Action70–300 mm (mid-telephoto), 400–600 mm if far away
Street28–50 mm (standard)
Night / Low Light14–35 mm (wider for city / astro; fast lens more important than focal length)

Yes but it is the size and weight of the gear. It isn't heavy or big and bulky to carry. The difference is half the size and weight of the gear in comparison to full frame. Its why lots of photographers are turning to it as the size and weight is totally different

ok
so what lenses will you add and flash gun to the om-3 (BUT HANDLE IT) maybe the om-1 is better in hand
Probably 16 to 35 at first as this covers 32mm to 70mm, at first I assume this covers the majority of what I will need, then add a 100 to 300mm for wild life

dont know of a zoom that size ... searched and could not find
as i mentioned many posts ago - on the OM-1 choices -
i suggested this lens as its FAST - F2.8 throout the zoom range which is really good

M.Zuiko 12‑40 mm f/2.8 PRO

walk about 25mm lens

the F stop is not great typical of cheaper stock zoom- and i want to read reviews of these - I had a canon 75-300 lens and it was very poor
Olympus M.Zuiko 14‑42 mm f/3.5‑5.6: A very compact zoom, especially when retracted — good for travel.

Panasonic Lumix 12‑32 mm f/3.5‑5.6: A “pancake” zoom, very small and lightweight.

Panasonic Lumix 14‑42 mm PZ f/3.5‑5.6: Power-zoom, very “pancake” when collapsed, good for video / casual shooting.

I posted some videos on the bodies and also choices and reviews of Lens a while back - have a look again

yep, thats what i mentioned days ago
yes thats when I looked at it, I thought it looked as though it covers a good range and at 2.8 throughout its range it is a pro lens so will be sharp as well as fast

Plus it has IS to match the ibis in the camera to give the setup 7 stops of ibis
