Hi, fantastic forum, some good advice in here.

I have just moved into a new house and there is a strange noise that seems to come from the pipes in just one part of the house.

The noise is like a single "burble" sort of noise, every 10 seconds or so. It is also quite intermittent, but does seem to happen every evening.

It is quite faint, but quite irritating as you end up listening out for it.

Boiler is an Ideal Classic FF model and is not a convector type. There are thermostatic valves on all but one of the rads.

Any ideas?

Turn system off and bleed rads near the noise. If they're collecting any gas it's hydrogen, product of corrosion (smells). Can just pour corrosion inhibitor into header tank & it'll get in eventually, or drain a bit of water from a drain cock somewhere to get it circulating faster.
