Funny smell - Milk

[jackpot]

Spillt some milk in the car a good while back. I removed the car mats to be cleaned on a different occasion but have yet to put them back. Over the last few days a funny smell has been in the car. When i put my nose to the floor where the milk was spilt it stinks..

ANy ideas how to get rid of this or is the best way to just keep cleaning and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning until it eventually goes.

Ewwwwwwww.......... It gets everywhere!
Only real solution if it's soaked in is to change the carpets.

Mixture of Biological washing powder and water sprayed on the carpet will keep the smell down, but you'll have to do it every couple of days

it can also get in the sound deadening under the carpet,if it has your screwed!

earlier topic in this forum about spilt milk in cars. only way to get rid of it is to replace the carpet/upholstery.

and yes - it will stink for years otherwise.
