Hey, my new flat is rather lacking in sockets, so I need to have 2 spurs from two of my sockets, however, in the kitchen I want under counter lighting, and in the yard I want an outside light, Can I add a fused 5amp switch for each off these lights as a spur from my spured socket?

Thanks,

It would not comply with regulations. You need to have a fused connection unit (FCU) feeding first socket this turns a spur into a radial then one can add extra sockets and comply with regulations.

Remember all sockets under 20A now need RCD protection if not already protected a RCD FCU would do the job.

Also be aware of the Law (Part P) when working in kitchen and outside.
