Galaxy Keyprox Usage

Due to the help received on this board I am basically finished with my Galaxy alarm install.
There is one thing that is bugging me - I have keyprox set up and they unset the system ok, but I can't work out why they won't set the system.

I am in code 42 - users - keyprox is ok with digits - 8 max function is in "2=set and unset".

The keyprox will unset but not set .... what have I done wrong?

Help gratefully received as I am stumped.

Are you holding the fob to the keypad for longer than 5 seconds when setting the system?

Keep it there until you get the setting tone.

Well I now feel a bit stupid!

It beeps when it is first touched, so I took that as the "handshake", but yes you are right. It needs to be held on for 5 seconds.

After all the complicated stuff (imo) that I have done with the system, I got stumped on 5 seconds!!
