just a question i would like a few opinions on, please.

what i would like to know is, how long would you expect the pipe to last for, if it has water running through it 24 /7, and part of it is submerged in water. it does have a few joints in it.

I think it will will rust from inside out. the "secureness" (can't think of right word) of galvanising can not be vouched for. in other words it may or may not have ben damaged internaly , but as its a pipe it is not possible to see inside

pipe size is about a 2 inches in diameter, flow rate is as yet undetermined, i just think it will rust sooner than later

Hi Breezer,
As an old man I would say your pipe is good for at least half a century.
If it is submerged in ordinary water even longer. Abrasion and atmosphere are the biggest threats.
geegee.
