hi guys
im about to decorate the upstairs bedroom, but there is a crack along the ceiling next to the wall...its about 6ft long by 1 inch....this was caused when some builders were doing the loft conversion and were hammering away in the loft, basiacally the plasterboard has broken away....how do i fill this up so i can paint the ceiling....?

Do you mean that the crack is actually along where the ceiling meets the wall?

If so, just run some decorators caulk around it, but first, get a knife or blade, and sort of score it, so its slightly more open, then just caulk it.
dont apply the caulk too thick, less is more, run the caulk around it, and if it sinks in and you can still see the gap slightly, wait a couple of hours and do it again. :D

If it's an inch wide caulk won't help. Use polyfiller if you are a novice or hardwall if you can plaster a bit.
