Gap between floor and door frame

Hi

Absolute DIY novice so no idea here so bear with me

moved into my house couple weeks back and there is a horrible draught from the extended utility room into garage (see attached photos)

No idea how to look at filling it to
Stop the cold

the timber door is a fire door btw

The laminate needs to be extended into that corner (could be done by placing a small piece of laminate in the gap on the threshold held in place by a gob or two of silicone sealant). If the gap beneath the door is excessive you might want to consider a face-mounted drop seal for the door bottom. If the draught is coming round the sides or top of the door you'll might consider replacing the intumescent strips with new combined cold smoke seal/intumescent strips which will act like draught excluder strips (they are self-adhesive, come in 2 metre lengths and fit into grooves in the door casing/lining)
