I had to replace some defective roof tiles and now I I have noticed that there is a gap between the old and new tile (Marley Modern)

The gap is large enough to slide my utility bar under.

Can anyone advise on what i need to do to rectify this?

Main reasons this happens
1. batons not level or incorrectly spaced
2. tiles not compatible
3. uneven rafters

Thanks. The old tiles (circa 1970s) are thicker than the new tiles (2024), so this is what I believe is creating the gap.

They are both Marley Moderns.

What would I need to do to rectify this situation?
