Hi,

I’ve seen some other threads on this, but thought I’d ask as not sure they 100% apply to my current situation.

I’m looking to fill some sizeable gaps and cracks around my UPVC windows before decorating. I’ve added some photos. After any advice about the best filer to use or wondering if I would be best using some UPVC trim and then seal/caulk it to hide the cracks.

Really appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Thanks, Rob.

Trim would be the quickest option.

You could hack away whatever they used to fill the void, then insert expanding foam, cut away the excess and then fill/sand... but it will take much longer.

As an aside, you seem to have evidence of slight condensation on upper part.

I had a similar issue. I used some plaster from a plastic tub of ready mixed plaster. I wet the holes first and then applied the plaster. Sanded down and repeated. Eventually, it was ready for painting and blended in with the surrounding plaster. I didn't use calk as it didn't need flexibility.
