Hi there,
Can someone tell me if there should be such large gaps in the brick where my roof joists join the end of my house.
I am getting towards the last of my snagging issues and not sure if this is something I need to mention.

What is on the other side? If this wall is a fire wall they should be filled.

No, there should not be large gaps in the blockwork around these timbers. If this is the gable wall of your end terrace house these are probably the gable ladder timbers supporting bargeboards. If the defects liability period has not expired ask the builder to carry out the remedial work required.

Thank you very much, just the answer I was looking for. I will get on to them as defects period is not over yet.
