Garage connection: RCD or not?

Hi,

In the future i'll want to wire up my garage, running a radial from my house CU to a sub-board in the garage.

I'll get a sub-board for the garage that incorporates an RCD. With that said, should the radial from the main CU come from the non-RCD or RCD
-protected side?

I'm thinking that it should be non-rcd. if someone could confirm please.

(trying to plan before i take the hack saw to the bus bars).
