My garage is fed from the non-rcd side of my CU. The 3 way board in the garage has a 2 pole rcd main switch. does the swa, running under my concrete path need Rcd protection itself? or is it ok as it is?

No, not the swa itself. There are only certain circumstances where it would be:-

1]If the house earthing system was TT then all circuits need RCD protection.
2]Under new regulations if any non-armoured cable in the house feeding the swa was buried less than 50mm. (Assuming the swa didn't go right back to the CU)
