Evening all,
I've read loads about the various challenges on converting the garage, but just wanted some advice on converting mine.
Basically I've got a detached garage slightly set back from the house which is currently used for storing junk.
It's approx 8m x 3m wide, asbestos sheet roof, inspection pit with an up and over door garage door and timber side door.
As it's kind of in the way for any future extensions to the actual house, I'm looking for the cheapest and easiest way to convert in to 3/4 new room and 1/4 storage for tins and tools.
I was thinking over sheet the asbestos roof, back fill the pit, and basically build a box within a box internally.
It's brick built, dpc intact, concrete floor.
Any help much appreciated.
