Hi
My garage door cable has broken. The door seems to be a Baujahr 35951. I can't find anything like this online. It was made in 2001. The tension spring assembly is 761.
Please can anyone help.

An agricultural engineering firm, or ships' chandler, may be able to make up a cable for you.

you could make one up yourself.

kits like these contain the thimbles and clamps used to form loops in the ends.

yottie places have a special tool for crimping ferrules on the ends, which is neater. They use stainless steel wire rope.

Or you could use something like

Thanks very much for the two replies. I'm OK with basic DIY, but will this be something I can do myself? I ask this because where I live is very remote, with no local repair people. I do have friends who could help.
I have posted some pictures. Also, is Baujahr a German make? Thanks.
