I have a pair of Timber Garage doors 96" wide and a brick to brick apature of 100" leaving me a frame of 2" wide.
Will a frame of 2" wide hold the doors
Is it OK to trim a little from each side of the doors

you wont have to remove any material if your opening is square
3x2" planed timber comes out at 44mm or 1 3/4" this gives you 2x6mm= 12mm that gives you 3x4mm gaps between frame and door-doorand door- door and frame
idealy you would have 12 to 18mm to allow for truing up and packing but as you havnt got it you can just fix exactly vertical and cut any off the door/doors
