I am a newbie, so bear with me....
Have a 3-car garage with a double door and a single door.
Because of the positioning of the garage relative to the house, the single door is completely unusable for parking a car, and the double door really accommodates only one car (don't ask)!
What I would like to do is to rebuild the door frames and move the double door to where the single door is, and vice versa.[/size]
I know the center "post" would have to be moved and the framing re-done plus the doors re-hung. The center post is just 2x4's or 2x6's, with vinyl siding.
Has anyone done this before?
Any idea how much effort and expense might be entailed?
I would most likely have contractors provide estimates for a complete job.
Thanks for any insights.

This website is UK based, so the Brit tradesmen are unlikely to be able to give even a rough $ estimate.
Even if you were UK based, a lot more info and pics would be required to give a ballpark price.
It doesn't sound like a problem to carry out the work you describe though, find a good carpenter.
