Hi,

My concrete garage floor is a bit of a mess. Its looking tired, and stained in a few areas.

I would like to do something with it, other than just paint it. Ideally I would like a smooth surface that can be swept/mopped. The garage won't be used for car storage, just for some DIY and I'm going to have a air hockey table in there, so bit of a lads gaff.

Any ideas whats a good, and cheap option to look at?? I've seen some stuff in Costco thats like a rubber type covering you lay down and cut to size.

Cheers

Neil

I would have thought any roll out floor covering would just about do what you are looking for. See what is on the rolls at the DIY stores etc.

What you need to be aware of is the possibility your garage concrete floor has no DPM and hence in its uncovered state moisture will simply evaporate away. If there is no DPM and you cover it with rubber or vinyl the floor may sweat and become damp underneath and later smelly!
