Hi,

I have just had an asbestos roof removed from a garage.

These were attached onto a metal A frame.

Is it possible to use the existing A frame and attached osb onto it? If so what method/fixings would be best?

I planning on putting epdm over the top.

Drill through and coach bolt. However, if you only have a few trusses (as the old asbestos sheets were strong and self supporting) you might need to introduce some purlins (which again could be fixed with coach bolts) to support the OSB.

Thanks cdbe.

But dont think that would work as the epdm.needs a nice flat surface to sit on.

Coach bolts have flat rounded heads that will easily sink flush into OSB when you tighten them - your EPDM will go on top without issue.
