Hi

3 years ago a friend of mine had a new flat garage roof installed using 18mm osb and firestone rubber with some form of liner between the two. I've noticed that inside the garage this time of year the osb is very damp and forming a moisture layer which seems to be across the entire area. The moisture is transferring onto the beams also. The garage is well ventilated as well, maybe not by choice!

Is this quite normal for the time of year?

Thanks.

Was just a bit concerned as never noticed it on a felt covered garage roof.

Just concerned the moisture shall rot the wood on time.....

Included some pics you should be able to see the moisture line on the beams and also beading on the boards.

It’s the weather, cold frosty nights followed by sunny mornings

the cold night makes the roof chuffing cold, then in the morning the sun warms the air.

Did you get a reply to this? I have exactly the same problem (I think)! Did you manage to find a solution?
