Garage sofit lighting ??

I am planning to add lighting to the sofits of my detached garage. I have come accross these & wondered if they are suitable & if anyone has any experience of using them??

Assuming they don't require the material thickness of deck boards to allow the fitting to mount securely, I see no reason why you couldn't use them.
